7 Cool Things About The Walking Dead

1. In the entire series of The Walking Dead, the word "zombie" isn't mentioned once. A myriad of other terms are used such as: walkers, biters, and the herd.

2. The actors who play walkers must go through "zombie school" to learn to move and walk like zombies.

3. The crossbow used by Norman Reedus' character, Daryl Dixon, is a specific model...a Horton Scout HD 125. You can pick one up at Walmart.com

4. In The Walking Dead world, the zombie to human ratio is about 5000 to 1.

5. The first episode of the Third Season was the most successful thus far with more than 10 million viewers. If you recall, this was the episode that revealed Michonne. Season Two ended with this:

6. The scientist at the CDC in Atlanta, Edwin Jenner, is named for the scientist who developed the smallpox vaccine in the late 1700's, Edward Jenner.
